Born and raised in Thunder Bay, Dr. Cupp began her professional studies at Lakehead University. After obtaining an Honours degree in Kinesiology, she enrolled in the Chiropractic program at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota. In 2003 she began practicing family based Chiropractic in Southern Ontario. While living in Southern Ontario she completed her training in Acupuncture and became certified in 2006. After living there for four years, her and her husband (also from Thunder Bay), missed the north and decided to move home.
In her practice, Dr. Cupp uses diversified joint manipulation, Thompson technique, activator, deep tissue therapy, exercise therapy and of course Acupuncture. These techniques allow her to treat different age groups and cover numerous different health conditions. Every patient receives a treatment plan specifically tailored to their own individual needs.
When not treating patients, her home life alongside her husband consists of raising their daughter and son who are actively involved in competitive dance and hockey. Sports have been a huge role in her life since childhood and now with her children and for that reason, she sees many athletes in her practice.

A native of northern Ontario, C.M. Gibson is excited to finally get back to her roots. After spending most of her childhood in southern Manitoba, and her high school years in southern Ontario, she went to McMaster University to earn a degree in Biology. But her heart was always in the north. She spent her summers volunteering at Dorion Bible Camp, recharging on weekends with her grandparents in Nipigon, and came to Lakehead for her Bachelor of Education.
After 6 years teaching high school across Canada and overseas, she decided she wanted to help people in a way that she wasn’t able to, as a teacher. Struggling with her own health issues, she began searching for a way to get to the root of her illness. In the process, she discovered Naturopathic Medicine. And so began another long round of schooling, this time in Toronto at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.
Though it was more difficult than anticipated, it was worth it. Having seen what naturopathy was able to do for her, she is excited to begin helping others. She hopes to be a true family doctor, seeing patients from birth to end of life. She has a particular interest in treating eczema, allergies, autism, and behavioural disorders; digestive issues and food sensitivities; autoimmune disorders, including thyroid issues; stress and mental health; hormone imbalances; and obesity and diabetes. She also loves using natural medicine to treat common ailments like colds and flus, sprains and strains - and teaching her patients how to care for themselves and their families. Her passions are preventing illness by optimizing health, natural options to improve fertility and birth outcomes, and providing hope for those with eating disorders and food addiction. She uses primarily nutrition, lifestyle, herbs, homeopathic medicine, and hydrotherapy. She also offers acupuncture and is able to prescribe bioidentical hormones.

I am committed to providing each patient with quality care. I have a diverse background and years of experience in healthcare. After graduating from Lakehead University in 1996 with a Bachelor degree, I then attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto and graduated in 2000. I started practice in 2001 and joined in partnership with Dr. Cupp in 2018 to start our dream clinic – Cornerstone.
My clinical focus is on patient care. I use both manual and instrument adjusting techniques to help joints achieve better mobility. In addition to this, I also use exercise prescription, Active Release Technique, Kinesio taping and soft tissue therapy to help accelerate recovery process.
In addition to private practice at Cornerstone, I am also the Practice Lead for the Spine Assessment Centre at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. Here I review all referrals from Primary care providers prior to consultation with a spine surgeon and also offer patients care plans of how they can manage their spinal pain conservatively when appropriate.
I have worked closely with orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, obstetricians, midwives and family doctors in providing patient care. These experiences have helped to evolve my practice into what it is today. Collaborative care models are important to success and I fully respect the diversity within our healthcare system and am proud to be a part of this model.
I am part of the clinical team for the WSIB Surgical Specialty Clinic. This team provides a comprehensive assessment and treatment recommendations for injured workers that are referred by WSIB to the clinic for expert opinion.
At home, life is fun and active. Alongside with my husband, we have 3 amazing sons and the world’s best dog named Ruby. To keep myself healthy and ready to keep up with the demands of everyday life and working a fantastic career, I like to spend time trying out new healthy recipes, cycling and hiking with Ruby.
